Rachel Coyner, a San Francisco District project engineer, was presented the "2013 Outstanding Younger Civil Engineer in the State of California" award during the 2013 American Society of Engineers (ASCE) region 9 awards ceremony March 14. The ASCE Region 9 Individual Awards were presented at the 2014 California Infrastructure Symposium Awards Dinner to recognize individuals for outstanding achievements or leadership in civil engineering, or who through their work, support and advance the profession. Rachel Coyner currently serves as the ASCE San Francisco Younger Member Forum President and has been active in the ASCE organization since 2008 when she joined as a University of Nevada, Reno student member. Rachel (Center) was joined by Lyn Gillespie, district ETS chief and Maj. Adam Czekanski, district deputy commander at the awards ceremony.
