An application has been submitted to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), San Francisco District, for a Department of the Army Permit to conduct maintenance dredging of the John F. Kennedy Memorial Park boat ramp (boat ramp). The City is applying to dredge approximately 19,300 cubic yards (cys) initially and 40,000 cys from the boat ramp over the 10 next years. The purpose of the proposed dredging is to return the boat ramp to its originally permitted depth to allow safe navigational depths for recreational boats.
