Suisun Associates has applied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), San Francisco District, for a Department of the Army Permit to conduct sand mining operations of up to 300,000 cubic yards annually over the next 10 years within a 938-acre area of submerged lands within the Suisun Channel in Suisun Bay leased from the California State Lands Commission (SLC) as Mineral Extraction Lease Parcel No. 7781.1.
