The Port of Oakland has applied for a ten-year Department of the Army permit to carry out maintenance dredging at the Port of Oakland in the Oakland Outer, Middle, and Inner Harbors located in San Francisco Bay in the City of Oakland, Alameda County, California. There are 32 berths and 7 marinas within the Port’s area proposed to be dredged over the life of the permit. The purpose of the proposed maintenance dredging project is to maintain safe navigational depths by restoring the original project design depths in the deepwater berths and marinas at the Port.
