The Corinthian Yacht Club (CYC) has applied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District, for a 10-year Department of the Army Permit to carry out maintenance dredging of accumulated sediment, with subsequent aquatic and upland disposal as appropriate, at the CYC boat basin located on the southern end of the Tiburon peninsula in Tiburon, Marin County, California. The purpose of the proposed maintenance dredging is to return the CYC boat basin fairways, and berthing areas, totaling approximately 3.9 acres, to the originally permitted design depth to allow safe navigational depths for recreational boats.
