The U.S. Coast Guard has applied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District, for a Department of the Army Permit to perform maintenance dredging of the boat basin at USCG Station Humboldt Bay. The purpose of the proposed dredging is to return the Station boat basin to its originally permitted depth to allow safe navigational depths for USCG vessels assigned to the Station.
