PROJECT LOCATION AND Description

The study area is located approximately 15 miles southeast of San Francisco within the City of San Leandro, California. The watershed drains into San Francisco Bay, with a drainage area of approximately 10 square miles. A substantial number of properties within this densely-populated area are designated as being in a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) floodplain. This study will evaluate potential flood-damage-reduction alternatives in that highly-developed area

  • The Alameda County Flood Control Agency (ACFCA) is the NFS.
  • This project did not receive funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), Title IV, Pub. L. No. 111-5, 123 Stat. 115, Feb. 17, 2009.
