OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
PROJECT LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION
Redwood City Harbor is a mid-use, deep-draft harbor on San Francisco Bay in the County of San Mateo. The project consists of San Bruno Shoal Channel, an entrance channel, outer channel, inner channel, and two turning basins. The project is the only commercial deep-draft harbor in southern San Francisco Bay. Project Operations and Maintenance (O&M) provides for a two-year cycle of maintenance dredging of the main ship channel, which has an authorized project depth of 30 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW). The ports major commodities include aggregates for the South Bay construction industry, recycled scrap metal, and recycled petroleum products.
