Biographies

  • Lt. Col. Timothy W. Shebesta

    Lt. Col. Timothy W. Shebesta, a native of Antioch, IL, commissioned into the U.S. Army on Dec. 17, 2006, as an Engineer Officer after graduation from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He has also holds a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, he is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds a Project Management Professional certification. Lt. Col. Shebesta is currently in his 17th year of Army service.
  • Tommy Williams

    Tommy Williams is the Deputy District Engineer for Programs, Planning, and Project Management at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers San Francisco District. Tommy has worked for the Army Corps since 2012, first at the South Pacific Division until 2018, then with the District office ever since. Tommy is a Bay Area native from about an hour south of San Francisco and lives in San Francisco. Tommy's primary goal for the Corps - and for the communities impacted and supported by the Corps - is to foster and maintain a culture of equity and transparency while planning, building, and maintaining sustainable infrastructure for the public.
  • Major Shantel Glass

    Maj. Shantel Glass is the deputy commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District in San Francisco, Calif. The district’s mission is to deliver safe and innovative navigation, flood risk, ecosystem restoration, and government facilities solutions and support for the nation. Maj. Glass is a native of Aberdeen, Miss. He commissioned on Nov. 13, 2008, as a graduate of the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School. At the time he commissioned, he had earned Bachelor of Science degrees in exercise science and kinesiology from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). He has also earned a master’s degree in military history. He is in his 17th year of service.
