The Multi-use Vessel John A.B. Dillard took commanders from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Pacific Division on a tour of the Bay while providing an overview of the District’s navigation and debris removal missions. The San Francisco District’s debris removal vessels keep shipping lanes and commuter routes free of debris by removing more than 1,500 tons of debris annually from the San Francisco Bay.
