SAN FRANCISCO - (Sept. 24, 2014) - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers San Francisco District Deputy Commander Maj. (P) Adam J. Czekanski received the Soldier's Medal from South Pacific Division Commander Brig. Gen. Mark Toy for his actions of valor and heroism earlier this year when he jumped onto the tracks as a commuter train was approaching to save a fellow rider who had fallen due to an apparent seizure.
