ISSUES AND OTHER INFORMATION

  • The Napa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District is the Non-Federal Sponsor (NFS).
  • This project did not receive funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), Title IV, Pub. L. No. 111-5, 123 Stat. 115, Feb. 17, 2009.
  • The Napa County Board of Supervisors appointed a Napa Valley Watershed Conservancy Board and Technical Review Panel to assist in the study development. These locally-organized and lead entities are critical to the on-going development of study tasks and the completion of the watershed management plan. The NFS is concentrating local resources to implement a large flood-reduction project with the Sacramento District, USACE.  If watershed funds could be obtained without having a negative impact on the Napa River flood reduction project, the NFS would pursue funding.
  • Due to projected costs in completing the watershed study a collaborative agreement was made with the sponsor to terminate the project. They have submitted their work in kind estimates which will be the basis for calculating the cost share balance and closing out the study.
