PROJECT LOCATION AND Description
The San Francisco Bay Delta Model Regional Visitor Center (BMVC) is located in the city of Sausalito in the County of Marin. The Class A Visitor Center has hundreds of historical exhibits and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) related exhibits. The centerpiece exhibit is a historical to-scale, hydraulic, three-dimensional model of the greater San Francisco Bay Area and Delta covering one- and one-half acres. The building also houses the historical significance exhibits showcasing U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) missions, the model, and the Marin Shipyard during WWII.

FY26 ACCOMPLISHMENTS

FY25 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- The project team hosted a new volunteer orientation and advertised it through the neighborhood information-sharing website Nextdoor. This innovative recruitment approach attracted 18 attendees, eight of whom signed up to begin working at the front desk in the following weeks.
FY24 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Implemented use of facilities management system to better manage and quantify maintenance needs to support the facility.
ISSUES AND OTHER INFORMATION
- The project continues to pursue partnerships to enhance the visitor experience and opportunities for investment in the facility.
