FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT SERVICES
PROJECT LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION
Increasing intensity of coastal storms together with rising sea levels are evolving risks facing California Coastal communities. This project will deliver at least three resiliency workshops centered on identifying community flood risk reduction priorities and collaboratively identifying State and Federal resources to address them. The main focus of the effort this year is in Fort Bragg and Mendocino County.

- Established multi agency working group that includes USACE, NOAA, FEMA, EPA, EDA and HUD

ISSUES AND OTHER INFORMATION
- The team is aligning Federal programs to deliver direct technical assistance to California coastal communities to plan, adapt and be more resilient in the face of natural hazards such as flooding, erosion, storm surge etc.
