OYSTER POINT MARINA
CONTINUING AUTHORITIES PROGRAM, SECTION 107
PROJECT LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION
Oyster Point Marina is a 600-berth recreational and commercial marina and park located in San Francisco Bay approximately 10 miles south of San Francisco, two miles north of the San Francisco International Airport, and adjacent to multiple biotechnology firms and business parks. A concrete breakwater currently protects the Marina. The breakwater was modified in 2008 to expand the opening to the harbor to allow safe entry into the harbor by the Water Transit Authority Commuter Ferry. Additional modifications to the breakwater, including wave attenuators, were added in 2012-2013 to reduce wave action in the marina and maintain safe navigation.
