Princeton Shoreline, San Mateo, CA

CONTINUING AUTHORITY PROGRAM, SECTION 111

PROJECT LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION

The Princeton shoreline appears to have been altered by the presence of the Federal breakwaters constructed in the mid-20th century which disrupted longshore transport; the current shoreline has both eroded and accreted portions with the eroded section threatening homes and utilities and accreted section impacting navigation in the harbor for search and rescue operations and commercial fishing. The study would examine shoreline solutions consistent with the Section 111 authority.
