INVESTIGATIONS
PROJECT LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION:
Coyote Creek is located in Silicon Valley, immediately south of the San Francisco Bay, in Santa Clara County. Draining directly into the San Francisco Bay, Coyote Creek is the largest watershed in Santa Clara County and flows through the Cities of Milpitas and San José. The Upper Coyote Creek Study will evaluate potential improvement plans to alleviate flooding problems along the upper reaches of Coyote Creek. Severe flooding occurred in 1982, 1982 and 1997 and most recently in February 2017.
