Finding the Perfect Spot
With more than 200 campsites located in three campgrounds, you’re sure to find your favorite place to camp at Lake Mendocino. Reservations are made though www.Recreation.gov. Payments (cash, card, or check) are not accepted on site at the campground. All reservations must be made online or over the phone (1-877-833-6777) with recreation.gov – reservations cannot be made in-person. Advance reservations are strongly encouraged, especially during holidays and weekends, but reservations can be made same day depending on availability.
Kyen Campground: Located on the picturesque northern shore of Lake Mendocino along Marina Dr., this campground seasonally offers a full variety of sites and services. Amenities include flushable restrooms, hot showers, potable water spigots, and a dump station. Full hookup sites with electric, sewer, and water are also available. Lakeside sites are heavily impacted by high lake levels. For the most up-to-date information on Kyen Campground, click here.
Bushay Campground: Sits atop a bluff overlooking the beautiful northeastern side of Lake Mendocino. This campground seasonally offers both family sites and group camping areas. Amenities include flushable restrooms, hot showers, potable water spigots, and a dump station. Access to Bushay is heavily impacted by high lake levels. Miti Campground: Located on Lake Mendocino’s east shore, this campground is only accessible by boating or by hiking in. Amenities include basic site features and vault toilets. No potable water spigots available. Campers are responsible for knowing park rules and regulations. Please pack out all garbage.
