Corps to host Lake Sonoma Master Plan public meeting

SAN FRANCISCO- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers San Francisco District will host a public meeting to receive input intended to help shape development of the revised Master Plan for Lake Sonoma in Geyserville, Calif. 

The meeting will take place Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 3 to 7 p.m., at the Lake Sonoma Visitor Center located at 3333 Skaggs Springs Road in Geyserville.

A revised 2019 draft Master Plan for Lake Sonoma is now available at our website at: www.spn.usace.army.mil/Master-Plans/.  Click on the link in the right-hand column titled "2019 Public Review Draft Master Plan Revision" to access the PDF, along with associated appendices.  Hard copies of the draft Master Plan are also available at the Healdsburg Regional Library.

Comments on the draft can be emailed to: SonomaMP@usace.army.mil.  The public comment period runs from Oct. 4 to Nov. 4, 2019. 

Master Plans are developed for every Corps lake and recreation area, and the public is encouraged to provide input.  The plans guide the use of resources for recreation and other purposes and are written to include future possible developments on public land with the goal of ensuring sustainability.
