UKIAH, California -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Mendocino, in partnership with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, recently opened the steelhead egg collection facility. Visitors are welcome to visit the facility Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crowding of the fish takes place at 10 a.m. daily and eggs are collected Thursdays at 9 a.m.
