UKIAH, Calif. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Mendocino will no longer accept cash or checks as payment for campsites. Campers must make reservations through www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777 and using a credit or debit card for payment.
Reservations can be made the same day as arrival, but visitors are strongly encouraged to make reservations in advance to ensure availability. Campers that arrive at Lake Mendocino without a reservation can call or go on-line to pay for open campsites. A confirmation letter is automatically generated after a reservation has been made and will be sent to the email address provided in your personal profile. Be sure to pay for the site and get a confirmation letter before setting up camp.

Lake Mendocino, formed with the construction of the Coyote Valley Dam in 1958, is the largest reservoir in Mendocino County with an average of 500,000 visitors annually.
