 - WE ENCOURAGE YOUR COMMENTS -

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

We are requesting public comments on many Public Notices (PNs) concurrently; please pay careful attention to the file number and the comments Due Date.

Email comments are preferred.  To submit comments in writing, send them to the attention of the Project Manager listed in the Public Notice title block.  All comments should reference the PN file number and be submitted by the Response Required Date on the PN.

The Public Notices are in pdf format. To read the files you may need to download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader or another comparable program

The Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works [OASA(CW)] is engaging with the public on a variety of priority areas to obtain feedback that will inform future potential policy decision-making. The OASA(CW) recently released Federal Register notice announcing virtual sessions in June and July regarding the modernization of the Civil Works program through policy initiatives to better serve the needs of Tribal Nations and disadvantaged and underserved communities. These sessions are intended to gather input to inform future decision-making on:

  1. Tribal Consultation Policy and implementation of Tribal Partnership Program;
  2. Potential rulemaking actions regarding the Corps' Regulatory Program's implementing regulations for the National Historic Preservation Act found at 33 C.F.R. § 325, Appendix C;
  3. Potential rulemaking to develop implementing procedures for the Principles, Requirements, and Guidelines; and
  4. Finalization of environmental justice guidance and the proposed definition of “economically disadvantaged community.”
