Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

We are requesting public comments on many Public Notices (PNs) concurrently; please pay careful attention to the file number and the comments Due Date.

Email comments are preferred.  To submit comments in writing, send them to the attention of the Project Manager listed in the Public Notice title block.  All comments should reference the PN file number and be submitted by the Response Required Date on the PN.

  • SPN-2014-00090 Port of Oakland Maintenance Dredging Project

    Expiration date: 4/26/2024

    The Port of Oakland has applied for a ten-year Department of the Army permit to conduct maintenance dredging within the Port of Oakland berths located within in the city of Oakland, Alameda County, California. The purpose of the proposed maintenance dredging project is to maintain safe navigational depths by restoring the original project design depths in the deepwater berths at the Port. The proposed dredge footprints are the same as those permitted in the previous maintenance permit issued in 2014. This application is being processed pursuant to the provisions of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1344), Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. 403) and Section 103 of the Marine Protection, Research and Sanctuaries Act of 1972 (33 U.S.C. 1413).

  • SPN-2018-00508 FINAL AMENDMENT TO RESTRICTED AREA: Military Ocean Terminal, Concord

    Expiration date: 4/22/2024

    The U.S. Army Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command requested that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers revise the restricted area boundaries of the Military Ocean Terminal Concord in order to provide an adequate security buffer for MOTCO shoreline infrastructure and operational needs. The MOTCO restricted area is located along the south shore of Suisun Bay, north of the City of Concord, Contra Costa County, California.

  • SPN-2016-00417 India Basin Shoreline Park Project

    Expiration date: 4/12/2024

    San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department has applied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District, for a Department of the Army Permit to conduct work in, and discharge fill within waters of the United States associated with the development of a public park on San Francisco Bay. The project is located in the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood in the City and County of San Francisco, California. This Department of the Army permit application is being processed pursuant to the provisions of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act of 1972, as amended (33 U.S.C. § 1344 et seq.) and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, as amended (33 U.S.C. § 403 et seq.).

  • SPN-2000-252600 Regional General Permit for the Oakland International Airport Facilities Maintenance

    Expiration date: 4/10/2024

    The Port of Oakland, has applied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District, to reissue a Department of the Army Regional General Permit to conduct maintenance activities as needed within a five-year period at the Oakland International Airport, located in the City of Oakland, Alameda County, California. This Department of the Army permit application is being processed pursuant to the provisions of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act of 1972, as amended and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, as amended.

  • SPN-2003-275310 Regional General Permit for the Port of Oakland Maritime Facilities Maintenance

    Expiration date: 4/5/2024

    The Port of Oakland has applied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District, to reissue a Department of the Army Regional General Permit to conduct minor maintenance and associated minor construction activities as needed within a five year period along the Port’s shoreline in San Francisco Bay, located in the City of Oakland, Alameda County, California. This Department of the Army permit application is being processed pursuant to the provisions of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act of 1972, as amended (33 U.S.C. § 1344 et seq.) and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, as amended (33 U.S.C. § 403 et seq.).

  • SPN-2023-00564 Availability of Prospectus: Mendocino Coast Mitigation Bank ll

    Expiration date: 4/5/2024

    Resource Environmental Solutions has submitted a Draft Prospectus to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), San Francisco District, and other members of the Interagency Review Team for the establishment of the Mendocino Coast Mitigation Bank ll and is the second of two proposed RES banks within coastal Mendocino County
