Public Notices

WE ENCOURAGE YOUR COMMENTS

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

We are requesting public comments on many Public Notices (PNs) concurrently; please pay careful attention to the file number and the comments Due Date.

Email comments are preferred.  To submit comments in writing, send them to the attention of the Project Manager listed in the Public Notice title block.  All comments should reference the PN file number and be submitted by the Response Required Date on the PN.

To be added to the Public Notice Mailing List:

Please submit your name, address, and email along with county(ies) you are interested in to our Contact Representative.  The default is email notification, please indicate if you would like to receive a physical notification instead.  Physical requests for inclusion can be sent to the address in our 'Contact Information' box.

If you are on our mailing list and your contact information changes, please notify our Contact Representative and provide your new and old addresses. Hard copies or e-mails returned due to a non-functioning address will be deleted from our electronic mailing list system.

The Public Notices are in pdf format. To read the files you may need to download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader or another comparable program.

The Crescent City Harbor District has applied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers San Francisco District (Corps), for a 10-year Department of the Army Permit to maintain navigable depths in Crescent Harbor by maintenance dredging. The purpose of the proposed dredging is to return the Outer and Inner Harbors to their originally permitted depth to provide safe navigational depths for recreational and fishing vessels, and to maintain the harbors at those depths. After dredging the sediment would be placed at an approved disposal site or beneficially reused.
