Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

We are requesting public comments on many Public Notices (PNs) concurrently; please pay careful attention to the file number and the comments Due Date.

Email comments are preferred.  To submit comments in writing, send them to the attention of the Project Manager listed at the bottom of Public Notice in the "Comments" section.  All comments should reference the PN file number and be submitted by the Response Required Date on the PN.

The Public Notices are in pdf format. To read the files you may need to download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader or another comparable program

  • SPN-2017-000281 Sunnyvale East and West Channels Flood Protection

    Expiration date: 6/20/2025

    Santa Clara Valley Water District (Valley Water, POC: Nick Mascarello, (408) 630-3147), 5750 Almaden Expressway, San Jose, California 95118, has applied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), San Francisco District, for a Department of the Army Permit to implement bridge/culvert improvements, channel improvements, levee modifications, floodwall installation, and modifications to existing maintenance roads adjacent to the Sunnyvale Channels, located in Santa Clara County, California. This Department of the Army permit application is being processed pursuant to the provisions of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act of 1972, as amended (33 U.S.C. § 1344 et seq.) and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, as amended (33 U.S.C. § 403 et seq.).

    The proposed project is the renewal of the 10-year LOP procedure for regular gravel extraction activities that include, but are not limited to, sand and gravel extraction and work associated with these activities, such as temporary storage of gravel in a dry section of the stream, salmonid habitat improvement activities associated with the gravel extraction locations, and installation of temporary road crossings.

  • SPN-2015-00216 Cemex Eliot Facility Maintenance, Lake A Arroyo Del Valle Bank Restoration

    Expiration date: 6/12/2025

    Cemex Construction Materials Pacific, LLC, 4120 E Jurupa St., Ontario, California 91761, through its agent, Compass Land Group, has applied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District, for a Department of the Army Permit to implement the Lake B Long-Term Bank Stabilization Project. The levee adjacent to the Arroyo Del Valle was damaged by a series of storms and flood events in December 2022 and January 2023. The Project proposes restoration of the damaged areas within the contours that existed before the damage occurred. The project site is located in Alameda County, California. This Department of the Army permit application is being processed pursuant to the provisions of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act of 1972, as amended.

  • SPN-2005-298180 Highway 12 Logistics Center

    Expiration date: 5/31/2025

    The project would affect waters of the United States associated with Peytonia Slough. The project/review area is located on the west side of Pennsylvania Avenue/Cordelia Road, southwest of the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Highway in 0 Section, 5 N Township, 2 W Range; at Latitude 38.2382 and Longitude -122.0553; in Suisun City, Solano County, California.

  • SPN-2023-00301 O'Rourke Gravel Mining

    Expiration date: 6/2/2025

    The project would affect waters of the United States and navigable waters of the United States associated with the Klamath River. The project/review area is located at three gravel bars along the Klamath River between river mile 8 and 8.5, adjacent to Highway 169, Humboldt County, California; located from Bear Grass 40 Road near Martin’s Ferry to Myers Lane in Surgone.
